Can the Indian Walk-In Center help determine my tribal affiliation?
The Indian Walk-In Center does not assist with research into tribal ancestry. If you have the appropriate documentation prepared, or need to request tribal enrollment guidelines, we can assist you in contacting the appropriate tribal office.

Are all services of the Walk-In Center free for American Indians?
Currently, services that are provided directly by the Indian Walk-In Center are provided free of charge for all people who qualify to receive service. We cannot determine who is eligible for tribal enrollment or what degree of Indian blood is required; this is determined by each individual tribe based on their eligibility requirements. For more information, please contact your tribal office. Services available to all populations in need include: emergency food supplies, information and referrals to other community service providers.

Our work is continually enhanced through volunteer efforts. As a community-based organization, we have many activities throughout the year that offer volunteer opportunities for everyone. Please call the Indian Walk-In Center directly at 801-486-4877 for specific volunteer opportunities.

“We need someone to perform at an upcoming community event…”
The Indian Walk-In Center focuses on increasing the health and wellness of its community members through its direct service. We do not keep an active directory of Native American performers. Many cultural events are sponsored at the Indian Walk-Center and all community members are welcome to attend. Please visit our Calendar of Events.
